A warm Hello. I am a qualified, registered counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My background is rooted in the psychodynamic tradition and is also flexible and sensitive to individual needs. Modern life can be complicated and stressful. This may leave people feeling stuck or with a sense of loss of meaning in their lives, and seeking a greater sense of fulfillment. By taking time to learn more about yourself, what began as a problem can often be a turning point towards self-discovery and counselling supports people to achieve real change in their lives.

I currently work in private practice and an addiction centre. I have also worked in a women's centre. People come to me for a wide range of reasons including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family and parenting issues, chronic illness, abuse, trauma, bereavement, eating disorders and addiction. Sometimes clients come at a period of extreme crisis and others when they feel the time is right to address long-standing concerns.

If you would like to call or email me we can arrange an initial meeting and look at how counselling in a confidential, safe place may support you.

Hello and welcome. I am a qualified and registered counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and psychotherapy (BACP). My approach is respectful, sensitive and thoughtful and is underpinned by a psychodynamic training.

In addition to working in private practice in Stanstead Abbotts and I have worked in an NHS funded counselling service at a Women’s centre in London and also as a voluntary counsellor for the Road Victims Trust. I have a wide range of experience which includes working with trauma, bereavement, domestic and childhood abuse, pregnancy issues, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. These maybe things that you would like to talk to me about however it might a less apparent problem e.g. low self esteem or feeling gloomy, confused, sad, dissatisfied but you can’t quite put your finger what it is that bothering you.

We are all unique, complex individuals and I tailor my approach to meet your needs. An initial assessment gives us both the opportunity to talk about what is troubling you. Whilst I am an experienced counsellor there maybe circumstances where we both feel that you need to be referred to another agency and I will assist you in this process. All communication between us will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
