Held in Mind Therapies was founded by Heather Brennan and Judy Wilson to provide therapy/counselling in Ware, Stanstead Abotts, Harlow and surrounding areas. Our therapy is rooted in the psychodynamic tradition. We aim to help clients to understand and be more aware of themselves and to change deep seated and often unconsciously based emotional problems thereby alleviating their distress and its symptoms. What starts out as a problem can often be turning point towards self- discovery.
We have backgrounds of working as a counsellor in the NHS, private and voluntary sector services including addiction counselling in Harlow and counselling in a Women's centre in Kings Cross. We are also both qualified to work as a Fertility counsellor and are members of the National Fertility Society (NFS). We are affiliated to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical and legal guidelines.

Our counselling practice is in Stanstead Abbotts within easy reach of Ware, Broxbourne, Great Amwell, Hoddesdon, Cheshunt, Harlow, Roydon. It is five minutes walk from St Margaret's overground Station. This is on the Liverpool Street to Hertford East line. There is parking available.
